Clackamas County, in collaboration with AMR, has launched a program to provide its residents with a variety of options for quickly reaching the appropriate level of care when calling 9-1-1. You should only call 9-1-1 for a serious medical emergency that you believe is life-threatening or that may become life threatening. Calls to 9-1-1 with non-emergency injuries or illnesses may be transferred to a nurse navigator who can assess your symptoms and refer you to the most appropriate medical care.
