Look for colorful artwork showing local scenes and wildlife at places like Gateway Park, City Hall and all over downtown. There’s even a mermaid! In 2025 the Seaside Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the ClatsopNehalem people and the City of Seaside, invited artists of all ages to submit original pieces for the Trash Receptacle Art Campaign. Roughly half of the city’s 109 trash receptacles are now decorated, with plans for more to come.
