Photo by Shae Callewaert Imagine what would be discussed if American modern artist Georgia O’Keeffe, Spanish painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso, Ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, and American author and editor Toni Morrison were to have a picnic in a meadow filled with wildflowers and bordered by a babbling brook. To provide a clue about what they would discuss about being surrounded by the abundance of inspiration found in Sunriver and Central Oregon, here are quotes from each of them: “Whether you succeed or not is irrelevant, there is no such thing. Making your unknown known is the important thing.” – Georgia O’Keeffe “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” – Pablo Picasso “The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.” – Aristotle “If there’s a book you really want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.” – Toni Morrison Writers, painters, sculptors, woodcarvers, photographers, philosophers, musicians and more will discover countless opportunities to explore the harmony of art and nature in Sunriver and Central Oregon.
