The Sunriver Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting the Sunriver area as an amazing place to visit, work, have a business and live. The chamber understands healthy businesses are essential to creating a vibrant community. The chamber works with small businesses, established companies, up-and-coming entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations to assist each in achieving their individual goals. The chamber works with its partners to enhance the livability of South Deschutes County, including Newberry Regional Partnership, Sunriver La Pine Economic Development and Sunriver Owners Association. In 2022, the chamber switched to a virtual model with an office inside First Interstate Bank. The change has created more opportunities to meet business owners and community members at their location. Here are a few of the things the chamber does: SUNRIVER MAGAZINE The Sunriver Magazine is your passport to discover the adventures you want to take and the places you wish to explore, whether you are a visitor or a resident in the Sunriver area. The chamber collaborates with its partners including the Sunriver Resort, Sunriver Owners Association, The Village at Sunriver, Sunriver Music Festival, Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory, High Desert Museum and other to create the high-quality and informative magazine. LEARN WHAT’S HAPPENING The chamber publishes two weekly email newsletters to keep community members and tourists “in the know” of what’s happening in Sunriver and South Deschutes County. It’s free to subscribe to newsletters. Monday’s newsletter features information on local businesses. Wednesday’s newsletter focuses on events happening in Sunriver and South Deschutes County. Social Media - The chamber posts information on its website and social media. SUPPORT BUSINESSES WHO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY Before driving elsewhere to purchase what you need to make a meal, go hiking or find a good book to read, start by shopping in Sunriver. The chamber started the Shop Sunriver and Savor Sunriver campaigns highlight that you find what you need by shopping and dining locally. Memberships start at $350 and go from the month you sign up to that month a year later or April 2025 to April 2026.
