Punch Magazine Winter 25/26

On a weekday in Milpitas, Julie stocks produce, greeting Safeway customers with a smile and helping hand. This simple scene is the culmination of decades of support. Julie came to AbilityPath as a shy camper; years later, she’s a confident 15-year employee, living in her own apartment, nurturing her love of dance in a weekly class and volunteering in her community. Work brings pride, independence and belonging. For over a century, AbilityPath has been a lifeline for Bay Area families, walking alongside children and adults with developmental disabilities at every stage of their journey. Each day, more than 1,000 people benefit from the lifespan of services including early intervention therapies, inclusive preschools, afterschool recreation, independent living, employment, senior enrichment, and family support. “This is a very personal relationship,” says CEO Bryan Neider. “We’re here to help people live out their dreams.” With your support, we can open more doors for people like Julie, creating a lifetime of opportunities to learn, work and belong in communities that celebrate everyone’s abilities.
